About this procedure

Laser hair removal uses a long-pulsed laser to heat hair follicles and slow future hair growth. It provides longer-lasting smoothness than shaving or waxing.\n\nBecause hair grows in cycles, a course of sessions is normally required. Treatment is planned according to skin type and hair colour, and a small patch test is done first.

Who it is suitable for

  • ["Unwanted hair on the face, underarms, arms, legs or body","Ingrown hairs","Hair that is darker than the surrounding skin"]

How the procedure is done

The area is shaved and cleansed, then the laser handpiece is passed over the skin. Most people feel a warm, snapping sensation. Built-in cooling keeps the skin comfortable during treatment.

Recovery & aftercare

Mild redness and a warm feeling around the follicles usually settle within a few hours. Avoid hot showers, strong sun and waxing between sessions. A regular shaving routine between visits is fine.

Important notes

  • ["A patch test is done before the first full session","Best results come from completing the planned course of sessions","Sun exposure should be avoided on the treated area before treatment","The area must not be waxed or plucked between sessions"]
