Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing treats a fraction of the skin at a time, creating tiny columns of treated skin surrounded by healthy skin. This stimulates renewal and helps improve the look of scars, fine lines and uneven texture.\n\nBecause only a portion of the skin is treated in each session, healing is faster than full-surface resurfacing while still giving meaningful results.

How the procedure is done
Numbing cream is applied and left on for a short period. The laser handpiece passes over the area delivering a grid of tiny beams. The treated skin feels like a mild sunburn afterwards.
Recovery & aftercare
Redness, swelling and a grainy texture are expected for several days. The outer skin peels over the first week. Most people need downtime of about a week and must use strict sun protection while healing.
